This one is for my sister-in-law Ashley.
Girl meets Kroger…
This one is for my very first sissy in law. She is the one of the most spunkiest, selfless and amazingly artistic women I know. She is full of life and creates art through her eyes. Ashley helped me get through one of the most traumatic experiences of my life.
I still don’t know what God had planned for us but somehow the car accident happened in an area where we had family 3-4 hours away. While my in-laws rushed to be with Haeli, Ashley came to be with me. She got me whatever I needed from decorative lights, to her inspiring artwork to yummy soups and teas from Kroger. She always knew how to make me feel a little more comfortable in a place that I would be living at for the next 2 weeks.
For 5 days she stayed with me when I had doctors and nurses poking and prodding me. She even saved me from hospital food when she discovered all things Kroger. Oh yes. The world of a Kroger store was a game changer. It was the humor of it all that I needed. To be able to laugh during the most painful of times saved me a little more each day. I am so thankful that I have family that has the ability to try and find humor in painful situations…because sometimes laughter is the best medicine.
I thank her for discovering Kroger and all the stories she told of her adventures there. For having a sleepover in my hospital room. For decorating with festive lights, flowers and art. For facial masks and toiletries. For “real” food and cookies. For being there when I needed her most. For not making me feel alone. God sent me and has blessed me with so many wonderful people during the most traumatic time in my life. I don’t know how I will ever repay them.
Thank you Ashley from the bottom of my heart for being there for me and saving me from myself. I will forever be grateful for everything you have done. I’ll always smile whem I see a Kroger.
