Mindset, mani’s and pedi’s
On Monday I made a promise to myself that I was going to take a mindset break this week. I chose Thursday as the day to let my brain take a break. I chose to go all in and go for the manicure AND pedicure. I usually feel bad even going and for even thinking about getting both done. On Wednesday I started re thinking my plan as I had so much stuff to do that I may not even have the time. NOPE. I needed to do this no matter what I had on my plate. It was time to change up the mindset. It was time for some kind of self care and this was what I needed.
This morning I woke up early. I had my coffee and forced myself to leave the house before 10 am. Guess what? I did it. What was supposed to be just a pedicure turned into a complete reset. I barely looked at my phone. I read a magazine. I even closed my eyes at some point and took deep breaths. I didn’t think. I didn’t stress. I even picked a color I wouldn’t normally choose.
Do you know how important it is to be able to convince yourself that you need to do something for you? This is just one of the steps I try and use in order to get my mind back and on track. So many times we focus on what needs to get done at home or at work. We forget simple things like a mini facial, our hair, our nails and do I dare say it… a shower. Our mindset is so important in this thing called life. As you get through each day remember to take at least 5 min, close your eyes and remember that you are enough.
